Project Duration: 2 Years
Budget Approved: 10,00,000.00
Expected Research Outcomes:
- Good relative part density is over 93% for PIM and over 97% for FAST.
- Expected mechanical strength > 400 MPa tensile, > 600 MPa compressive, and > 450 MPa flexural properties.
- Recommended corrosion properties < 0.0394 mpy (standard for permanent biomedical implant), corrosion rates, and excellent cell viability (above 90%).
- Low compressive modulus (around 40-50 GPa) that could be matched with cortical bone modulus.
