Project Duration: 1 year 6 months
Budget approved: 4,00,000/-
Expected Research Outcomes:
- Comparison of the performance of symmetric and asymmetric NACA airfoils as blades for fluid movement in the cavity.
- Quantification of the effect of Reynolds number on fluid flow characteristics, i.e., velocity and pressure distribution.
- Quantification of the effect of Rayleigh number on heat transfer characteristics, i.e., temperature distribution and convective heat transfer coefficient.
- Visualization of fluid flow patterns and heat transfer mechanisms.
- Identification of optimal blade geometries and operating conditions for maximizing fluid flow and heat transfer performance.
- Development of predictive models for fluid flow and heat transfer in hexagonal cavities, which could be used for optimization and design purposes.
