Project Duration: 1 Year 6 months

Budget Approved: 627000

Expected Research Outcomes:

  1. Develop a four-legged robot with unique geometrical parameters.
  2. Overall performance will be improved and total cost will be low.
  3. Theoretical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering will be applied to the manufacture and control of the system, therefore, understanding of these areas will be improved dramatically.
  4. Develop and implement efficient locomotion patterns for the four-legged robot, considering factors such as stability, speed, and adaptability to various terrains. The goal is to achieve smooth and natural movements.
  5. Implement energy-efficient mechanisms and explore technologies to enhance the robot’s battery life.
  6. Develop educational materials and documentation that can be shared with the wider community. This outcome would contribute to knowledge dissemination and potentially inspire others in the field of robotics.
