Project Duration: 1 Year

Budget Approved: 495000

Expected Research Outcomes:

  • Waste green tea can be used as a sustainable substitute for chemicals for improving perspiration-light fastness in the textile factory.
  • The cost of using chemicals will be reduced.
  • By incorporating waste green tea into the textile supply chain, circularity will be promoted in the textile sector.
  • As green tea has UV absorbing and anti-microbial properties, it can be used as a UV protective and anti-microbial finish in the textile industries soon.
